Philippines Description:
The Philippines officially known as the Republic of the Philippines is an island country located in Southeast Asia, which has 7107 islands in the western Pacific Ocean. It borders the Philippine Sea, the South China Sea, and the Celebes Sea. Surrounding countries are: Indonesia, Malaysia, Palau, the Republic of China (Taiwan), and Vietnam. The islands are commonly divided into three island groups: Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. The climate is hot, humid, and tropical. Lying on the north-western fringes of the Pacific Ring of Fire, the Philippine Islands experiences frequent seismic and volcanic activities. Earthquakes are registered daily in the Philippines most are too weak to be felt.
